I'm passionate about collaboration and feel that sharing best practices, tackling regulatory hurdles together, and building cross-organizational relationships lead to better care for patients. I am an experienced Healthcare IT professional who has focused my career on the efficient implementation and usage of Electronic Health Records, Ancillary Applications, and ERP Systems. As vendor products have become more capable, the expectations of both patients and clinicians have also increased. I have worked to ensure that the appropriate management of Healthcare IT can be leveraged to seize opportunities, standardize processes and deliver on the promises that the adoption of technology in healthcare can offer.

I started my career with MEDITECH, implementing and later supervising the implementation team dedicated to Emergency Department and Prescription Management. Since then, I have worked in Academic Medical Center environments, effectively partnering with stakeholders to implement and support Healthcare IT solutions.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Science from Boston College and hold an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

  I am the Chief Medical Information Officer and VP, Digital at Mass General Brigham. I am a Member of the Faculty at Harvard Medical School, and a practicing primary care physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In my role as CMIO, I am responsible for the vision, strategy, and implementation of digital solutions aligned with enterprise strategies to enable the delivery of high quality, safe, equitable and efficient care, while enhancing the patient and care team experience. I also conduct research on the intersection of technology and the quintuple aim of healthcare, currently focused on the role of digital solutions in physician wellbeing, quality, and equity.

As someone who has worked for both IT vendors and Health Systems I am excited to be able to help bring organizations together to support our regional Healthcare IT ecosystem.

As a seasoned leader with experience in healthcare analytics, database management, website development, and information security, I am known for my forward-thinking leadership and innovative approach.  Currently, I am serving as Senior Director in the IT department at Cambridge Health Alliance, overseeing strategic initiatives crucial to the organization's success. 

My expertise in analytics has empowered Cambridge Health Alliance to make informed decisions and drive efficiency and quality across various domains. In addition to proficiency in healthcare analytics, I am committed to leveraging technologies such as EPIC for the betterment of healthcare delivery. Further, I am dedicated to information security, implementing robust measures to safeguard sensitive healthcare data and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.  

I hold degrees in Industrial Psychology and Industrial Engineering and I am a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  Beyond my professional endeavors, I am committed to making a positive impact on the broader healthcare community.

As a Healthcare IT Executive with over 20 years of industry experience, I am so excited to be a part of NEECo to collaborate with my peers about Epic.  I am currently the Director of Digital Revenue Management at Southcoast Health, specializing in discovering ways Epic can directly impact improvements in Revenue for the health system. Prior to this role, I was Executive Director of Applications at Cape Cod Healthcare and served as the Epic Project Director for a $70 Million Enterprise Epic Software Implementation.  Other work experience includes: Chief Information Officer at the Dimock Community Health Center; Director of Electronic Health Records at Tufts Medical Center; and Director of Information Technology at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Physician’s Organization.  My education includes a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Information Technology and a Bachelors degree in Management specializing in Healthcare. I enjoy implementing and optimizing technology solutions that can automate processes and build efficiencies in Healthcare and look forward to connecting with others in NEECo to share best practices.
